Fitted acoustic panels. The case of Bodegas Barón de Ley

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, Inspiration, News, Spigogroup wood projects No Comments
Fitted acoustic panels are installed as furniture cladding or as part of other elements, going beyond the usual location on walls or ceilings. On many occasions the first requirement is the use of wood cladding to bring warmth and elegance to an area or space. Then, a need to improve the acoustics of the space is identified and the opportunity arises to leverage the wood cladding to reinforce the room’s sound absorption capacity by using sound-absorbent cladding as wood acoustic panels. In most of these cases acoustic panels have to be partially or completely adapted to the surface on which they are to be installed. Spigogroup offers a clear advantage in these cases: we are manufacturers of acoustic panels and this allows us to manufacture them to order, as well as provide us with a thorough understanding of the structure and performance of acoustic panels to determine which are best to fit them in with any project. The pictures in this article are of a bespoke project for Barón de Ley winery in La Rioja. In this case, Spigoacustic acoustic panels, model 28-32-32, were fitted into the cabinet island of the winery's tasting room. The project housed the tasting washbasins, whilst the oak finish sound-absorbent cladding concealed drawers, cupboard doors and other storage points.           . At Spigogroup we manufacture wood ceilings for schools, universities and other educational institutions. We have been doing this for more than thirty years and we have seen the growth of wood as the material of choice for finishing the ceilings of classrooms in schools of all kinds in different parts of the world. Nowadays, the importance of design is taken into account in every workspace, including academic ones. The undisputed positive influence of the well-being that the warmth and elegance of the wood design produces on the performance of both students and teachers is well-known. In addition, new ecological design and decoration trends have reinforced the choice of wood, as a sustainable and recyclable material for the interior cladding of ceilings and walls of schools, academies, universities and schools. Another reason why wood ceilings are installed is the search for the best acoustic comfort in classrooms. Gone are the days of unintelligible classes permeated with reverberations and echoes. When you install wood acoustic panels, such as you’ll find in the Spigoacustic, Spigotec and Spigoline catalogues, you help to achieve the optimum acoustic conditioning for this type of installation. Sizes and 4 options for linear wood slat cladding

By Architecture, Construction, Decoration, News No Comments
The linear wood slat cladding consists of solid, rectangular wood slats, placed parallel to each other and joined by means of cross rods or slats. Spigoline manufactures solid wood slat cladding including an exclusive product line, the Spigoline Linear System. The Spigoline Linear System catalogue features four models to choose from in different width and spacing combinations: 70-15, 70-30, 100-15 and 100-30, the first figure indicating the width of the slat and the second, the gap between slats.
