In Spigogroup’s more than 30 years’ experience in the world of architecture, construction, decoration and acoustic conditioning we have participated in the most diverse wood projects. Our work has taken us half-way across the world and allowed us to make our small contribution to projects of immense size and budgets and other smaller projects still requiring the highest quality in materials and design.

In 2015 we had the opportunity to participate in some of the most special wood projects undertaken in recent years. And it was near our home, in the city of Igualada, in the province of Barcelona.

As experts in the manufacture of wood components for building projects, such as panels, cladding, or solid wood slats, were asked to participate in the construction work of the European Quality Leather Centre in Igualada. The project is the work of taller 9s arquitectes. It involved the restoration of two tanneries located in the Rec industrial district in Igualada. It is part of a wider strategic plan to valorise the neighbourhood’s heritage and also aims to complement the offer of the nearby Igualada Leather Museum.

Special wood panelling, beams and other special orders gave us the opportunity to work very closely with our favourite material, wood.

This is an example of wood projects which we like. Very special and unique wood projects.
