We have described it on more than one occasion in this blog. There is an acoustic phenomenon called reverberation that causes sound to remain in the environment longer than is desirable for proper hearing. It is recognised as a type of murmur or echo that makes it hard to understand messages and conversations, posing difficulties in properly perceiving what another person is telling you and causing misunderstandings. You have surely experienced this before, for example, in restaurant dining rooms.
As we have explained in previous articles, the solution to this problem is to apply acoustic conditioning to the premises. However, beyond the much-needed good acoustics, there is the willingness of the interlocutors to listen and understand the person speaking in front of you.
Tradition dictates that Christmas is a time of peace and love, and of generosity towards others. This generosity has many faces. Empathy, respect and affection can be the best weapons against misunderstandings at Christmas gatherings and meals. Tools for building the harmony, warmth and concord that we desire during these dates; the kind that can turn misunderstandings into ‘good understandings’.
That is why we wish you a Christmas full of goodwill with family and friends. All of us want to have a holiday season full of sweet, emotional moments, full of connection and good understanding, the kind we see in films, but which also really exists, when we put our minds to it.
The Spigogroup Team wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2025.
