Many of the orders we receive for decorative wood panels are for Nordic or Scandinavian decoration projects, both for homes, offices or commercial premises. Why is wood used so much in this type of designs?
The main reason for using wood in Nordic or Scandinavian decoration is the ease with which it can be found in the extensive forests of these areas. This wood offers light tones, which is the color provided by the trees of the Scandinavian countries; such as fir, pine, oak, maple, birch, ash and beech. And these tones are appropriate, since Nordic and Scandinavian styles coincide in wanting to complement the little natural light that these countries have during most of the year using light and neutral colors, and essential, clean designs.
The big trend, at the moment, is not only summarized in the use of furniture made of wood, but also, we are beginning to opt for walls covered with wood panels or decorative wood slats, which provide natural inspiration and bring the nature inside the spaces.
For this type of wood cladding Spigogroup has two decorative solutions. On the one hand, we have the Spigoplank decorative wood panels, made of solid wood, and with volumetric shapes and three-dimensional surfaces in a slatted format. On the other hand, we can opt for the PET System from the Spigoline brand, which combines elegant solid wood slats with a bottom of sound-absorbing ecological felt that helps with acoustic conditioning and insulation of the room.
