The acoustic conditioning of dental clinics with wood acoustic panels

By Acoustics, Decoración, Decoration

The acoustic conditioning of dental clinics with wood acoustic panels is the best way to guarantee the sound comfort of the dentist’s office. In these spaces, background noise can cause nerves, discomfort and stress. The use of wood acoustic panels not only improves the patients’ experience, who will feel more relaxed, but also provides workers with a more comfortable environment to carry out their work with greater concentration and efficiency. Many dental clinics, due to their modern design and the use of materials such as glass, plastic coatings and smooth surfaces, present an acoustic problem: reverberation. Reverberation is that permanence of sound beyond what it should for correct hearing and understanding of the message. Explained in a more technical way, the “reverberation time” is the time that elapses until the energy received by the receiver decreases by 60 dB, once the sound emission source has stopped. In an environment, such as a dental clinic, where effective communication is key, this phenomenon can be particularly problematic as it negatively affects hearing and understanding of the message, which can lead to misunderstandings between professionals and their patients. The best way to control reverberation is by using sound-absorbing wood acoustic tiles or wood acoustic panels. These panels are specifically designed to reduce reverberation time and improve the acoustic quality of spaces. Thanks to their ability to absorb sound, wood panels help minimize the presence of noise in rooms, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment. Furthermore, these panels offer an aesthetic solution with numerous finish options, which allow their integration into the design of any clinic, providing a warm and natural touch.         If you liked this post about the acoustic conditioning of dental clinics, you may also be interested in:     – 9 decorative wood wall panels that will add value to your decorative project – The aesthetic and optical effect of parallel wood slats – The use of decorative wood panels in Nordic or Scandinavian decoration – How to carry out wood acoustic panel maintenance

Good acoustic conditioning is paramount where training and dissemination activities are carried out and where products or services are sold. In other words, wherever an act of communication is going to take place where it is essential that the message reaches the receiver in optimum condition. And if this space must also additionally convey an aesthetic feeling of elegance, warmth and hospitality to visitors, while defending the quality and distinction of the brand and of the products offered inside, then we are looking at a wood acoustic cladding project like the one we bring to this blog today. Solid wood slat ceilings for the Finanzauto offices in Chiva

By Acoustics, Architecture, Arquitectura, Decoración, Decoration

Solid wood slat ceilings are, without a doubt, the feature that most discreetly determines the look of an office. If used over the entire surface of the ceiling, they become the largest decorative piece in any workplace, even above large sculptures, labelled glass windows or even monumental furniture, as is sometimes used. In addition, solid wood slat ceilings serve to counteract the acoustic reflection caused by the large windows commonly used today, which causes imbalanced reverberation and a need for acoustic conditioning. These ceilings also serve to hide pipes and electrical wiring, plus home automation, air conditioning, security and communications installations. Visually, they are spectacular. Elegant, warm and modern, as shown in these pictures from a recent Spigo project. These are the offices of the earthmoving equipment and energy solutions distributor, FINANZAUTO, in Chiva, Valencia, for which we manufactured 750 m² of SPIGOLINE GRID solid wood slat ceilings, of Model 2-15-70-165. The 3000 x 1500 mm panels come with 2 slats (15 mm thick and 70 mm high), separated by a 165 mm gap. The slats are made of solid ayous wood with a PSM R12356 finish and feature black rods. In addition, a B-s1,d0 autoclave fire treatment was applied to the slats, a fireproof varnish was applied to the surface, and tailored cuts and adaptations of grilles were made as well.         If you liked this post about solid wood slat ceilings, you may also be interested in:   – Acoustic conditioning for restaurants, bars and cafes, is it really necessary? – Acoustic ceiling tiles, why choose them made of wood? – 6 Reasons to install PET decorative wood slats – Why install wood acoustic ceilings in offices?
