By Acoustics, Acústica, Decoración, Decoration

Thin wood slat cladding are an excellent option to transform any space, providing texture, warmth and a natural touch to the decoration. Their versatility allows them to be used on walls and ceilings, creating cozy environments with personality. Whether highlighting a specific area or achieving a uniform aesthetic, these thin slats offer endless possibilities. Spigo has the Spigoline brand dedicated exclusively to the manufacture of thin wood slat cladding. The Spigoline catalog has four types of decorative wood slat boards: the GRID system, the SOLID system, the LINEAR system and the PET system. In each of the systems we find different options for thin wood slats cladding designed to offer great versatility and can be installed in both a vertical and horizontal position, on walls or ceilings.   The Spigoline GRID System consists of panels of solid wood slats, with square or rectangular sections, placed parallel to each other, joined by means of black wooden rods 12 mm in diameter. The GRID system offers thin wood slat cladding with slat thicknesses or widths of 10, 15, 20, or 30 mm, and especially up to a thickness of 40 mm. SEE SHEETS. The Spigoline SOLID System consists of a plywood board, with oblong or circular perforations, with solid wood slats of square or rectangular sections, 20 mm thick, placed parallel to each other. SEE SHEETS. The Spigoline LINER System, consists of rectangular ayous wood slats placed in parallel and joined together at one end by means of a black painted ayous wood crossbeam and offers thin wood slat coverings of 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 mm in vertical position and 70 or 100 mm in horizontal position. By Acoustics, Architecture, Arquitectura, Construction, Decoración, Decoration, Proyectos en Madera Spigogroup, Spigogroup wood projects

We manufacture technical doors, custom-made doors and acoustic doors for health centres, offices, shops, hotels and business premises. But we go much further. Spigogroup is a technical carpentry company with more than 40 years’ experience in comprehensive wood decoration projects. Being manufacturers means we are able to carry out any custom-made wood project; this recent one being a good example. This is the technical carpentry work and acoustic doors for the new Villanueva health centre, built by Aransa in Logroño. We manufactured more than one hundred 38 db flush soundproof doors with 6 mm exterior panelling in Formica F1043 compact with a painted ayous wood edge, stainless steel fittings and lift-off hinges, distributed throughout the different rooms. We also manufactured hinged and sliding doors for interiors with the same finish, chrome handle and fittings; and others for exteriors with finishes in Formica F1040 white and Formica F1549 wood. The technical carpentry work was very extensive and included spectacular circular skylight structures in flexible plywood ready for painting on site, as well as panelling for the auditorium, lift entrance areas and the walls on floor 2 of the building, with fireproof finishes in 6 mm Formica white, and others with 6 mm Formica F1549 maple finishes. We also manufactured SJ model cubicles and lockers in compact Polyrey B015 and cabinets in Formica veneer flush with panelling. We used Urban Deck Duo technological decking for benches, and we also manufactured white melamine boxes, Polutrey compact white worktops, approximately 780 linear metres of F1040 compact skirting board, a flexible plywood handrail and ayous wood handrails for stairs.           If you liked this post about acoustic doors for health centres, you may also be interested in: . – Solid wood slat ceilings for the Finanzauto offices in Chiva – Wood lath and slat cladding in new coworking spaces: the case of Coworking Hiptown in Paris – Interior wood cladding at the new Práxedes Mateo Sagasta Secondary School in Logroño – Technical doors for schools – Instituto Práxedes Mateo Sagasta in Logroño

Wood panelling and the perception of luxury

By Decoración, Decoration, Inspiración, Inspiration, Spigogroup wood projects

Wood panelling and the perception of luxury are closely linked. Wood has always been a symbol of elegance and sophistication in interior decoration. Its use transcends cultures and trends, providing warmth and a touch of discreet luxury. This is partly because wood, with its unique texture and natural patterns, connects spaces with nature, providing a welcoming and refined atmosphere that rarely goes out of style. Incorporating wood into the decoration of a room, whether in furniture, wall coverings or decorative wood panels, increases the perception of quality and exclusivity. Traditional noble woods such as walnut, oak or ebony are often associated with luxury due to their unrivalled durability, strength and beauty. Others, such as maple, pear, beech, cherry or ayous, have also gained great popularity in recent years and are increasingly used due to their regenerative capacity and lightness.     If we talk about decorative wood slats or solid wood slats, the feeling of elegance and exclusivity that they convey is even clearer. Sergio Oliván, general manager of Spigo believes that “their presence on walls or ceilings transforms spaces, adding texture and depth while transmitting warmth and naturalness. Being made of solid wood, they offer a robust and high-quality appearance, generating an exclusive and refined environment that captivates and lasts.”       For wood cladding with panels, solid wood is ideal, but there is the option, more economical and with a very similar aesthetic result, of using panels made up of bases of cheaper materials, such as MDF, to which a melamine or varnished natural wood finish is added. The wood acoustic cladding in the new wine tasting and sales area at Bodegas Franco-Españolas

By Decoración, Decoration, Proyectos en Madera Spigogroup, Spigogroup wood projects

Good acoustic conditioning is paramount where training and dissemination activities are carried out and where products or services are sold. In other words, wherever an act of communication is going to take place where it is essential that the message reaches the receiver in optimum condition. And if this space must also additionally convey an aesthetic feeling of elegance, warmth and hospitality to visitors, while defending the quality and distinction of the brand and of the products offered inside, then we are looking at a wood acoustic cladding project like the one we bring to this blog today. This is the new commercial exhibition, tasting, wine tasting and sales area, “El Muelle de Carga”, in the renowned Bodegas Franco-Españolas winery in Logroño.” For this project, led by the riojan studio Arquitelia, Spigo manufactured and installed 400 m² of Spigoacustic 28-16-16 wood acoustic cladding for walls and ceilings with an oak melamine finish. We also manufacture FR doors finished in black lacquered FORMICA F2253 and flush white lacquered pivoting doors with black edge veneered imitation plywood. We also provided other made-to-measure wood elements, including a solid natural oak staircase mounted on a metal structure, a black melamine wine cellar unit, benches with wood-effect varnished walnut veneer, white lacquered and black lacquered skirting boards, as well as a counter for the entrance, display and bar area in natural varnished oak, and a panelled ceiling for the reception area in walnut melamine.                                 If you liked this post about wood acoustic cladding, you may also be interested in:   – Request a quotation for acoustic panels and wood panelling – Interior design of hotels: the importance of acoustics in hotel reception areas – The importance of meeting lead times for interior design projects – Wood slat acoustic panels for increased acoustic comfort
