Thin Wood Slat Cladding Options

By Acoustics, Acústica, Decoración, Decoration

Thin wood slat cladding are an excellent option to transform any space, providing texture, warmth and a natural touch to the decoration. Their versatility allows them to be used on walls and ceilings, creating cozy environments with personality. Whether highlighting a specific area or achieving a uniform aesthetic, these thin slats offer endless possibilities. Spigo has the Spigoline brand dedicated exclusively to the manufacture of thin wood slat cladding. The Spigoline catalog has four types of decorative wood slat boards: the GRID system, the SOLID system, the LINEAR system and the PET system. In each of the systems we find different options for thin wood slats cladding designed to offer great versatility and can be installed in both a vertical and horizontal position, on walls or ceilings.   The Spigoline GRID System consists of panels of solid wood slats, with square or rectangular sections, placed parallel to each other, joined by means of black wooden rods 12 mm in diameter. The GRID system offers thin wood slat cladding with slat thicknesses or widths of 10, 15, 20, or 30 mm, and especially up to a thickness of 40 mm. SEE SHEETS. The Spigoline SOLID System consists of a plywood board, with oblong or circular perforations, with solid wood slats of square or rectangular sections, 20 mm thick, placed parallel to each other. SEE SHEETS. The Spigoline LINER System, consists of rectangular ayous wood slats placed in parallel and joined together at one end by means of a black painted ayous wood crossbeam and offers thin wood slat coverings of 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 mm in vertical position and 70 or 100 mm in horizontal position. SEE SHEETS. Finally, the Spigoline PET system combines parallel solid wood slats with a high-performance thermo-acoustic rear filter, offering decorative wood slats with slat widths of 30, 35 and 70 mm depending on model. Technical carpentry and acoustic doors for the Villanueva health centre in Logroño.

By Acoustics, Architecture, Arquitectura, Construction, Decoración, Decoration, Proyectos en Madera Spigogroup, Spigogroup wood projects

We manufacture technical doors, custom-made doors and acoustic doors for health centres, offices, shops, hotels and business premises. But we go much further. Spigogroup is a technical carpentry company with more than 40 years’ experience in comprehensive wood decoration projects. Being manufacturers means we are able to carry out any custom-made wood project; this recent one being a good example. This is the technical carpentry work and acoustic doors for the new Villanueva health centre, built by Aransa in Logroño. We manufactured more than one hundred 38 db flush soundproof doors with 6 mm exterior panelling in Formica F1043 compact with a painted ayous wood edge, stainless steel fittings and lift-off hinges, distributed throughout the different rooms. We also manufactured hinged and sliding doors for interiors with the same finish, chrome handle and fittings; and others for exteriors with finishes in Formica F1040 white and Formica F1549 wood. The technical carpentry work was very extensive and included spectacular circular skylight structures in flexible plywood ready for painting on site, as well as panelling for the auditorium, lift entrance areas and the walls on floor 2 of the building, with fireproof finishes in 6 mm Formica white, and others with 6 mm Formica F1549 maple finishes. We also manufactured SJ model cubicles and lockers in compact Polyrey B015 and cabinets in Formica veneer flush with panelling. We used Urban Deck Duo technological decking for benches, and we also manufactured white melamine boxes, Polutrey compact white worktops, approximately 780 linear metres of F1040 compact skirting board, a flexible plywood handrail and ayous wood handrails for stairs.           If you liked this post about acoustic doors for health centres, you may also be interested in: . – Solid wood slat ceilings for the Finanzauto offices in Chiva – Wood lath and slat cladding in new coworking spaces: the case of Coworking Hiptown in Paris – Interior wood cladding at the new Práxedes Mateo Sagasta Secondary School in Logroño – Technical doors for schools – Instituto Práxedes Mateo Sagasta in Logroño

Instructions for the assembly and installation of wall covering consisting of wood slats and PET insulation

By Acoustics, Acústica, Architecture, Arquitectura, Construcción, Construction, Decoración, Decoration

We receive many inquiries about instructions for the assembly and installation of Spigoline PET System wall covering with wood slats and, in this post, we will try to clear up all the doubts. The PET System is an acoustic panel with a modern, timeless design that combines solid natural ayous wood slats arranged in parallel with an eco-friendly insulating panel with high thermal and acoustic performance, made of 80% recycled polyester fibres, 100% recyclable and with a low carbon footprint. First of all, you need to know the kind kind of sound absorption that your project requires. The EN ISO 11654 international standard has five absorption classes, A, B, C, D and E. Sound absorption class A has the highest degree of absorption. The PET System allows you to achieve type A, C and D absorption, depending on the way you choose to install it and whether you use mineral wool. Class D sound absorption Spigoline PET panels are fixed directly to the wall with screws (we recommend black) with a length of at least 35 mm in the felt area or with glue or contact adhesive.     Class C sound absorption First you need to install 45×45 mm wood battens. We recommend a spacing of 300-400 mm between them. The Spigoline PET panels are then fastened directly with screws at least 35 mm long.     Class A sound absorption To achieve greater sound absorption, you can add mineral wool in the gaps between the battens which form a substructure of 45×45 mm every 300-400 mm.       If you liked this post about assembly and installation of wall covering, you may also be interested in:   – 9 decorative wood wall panels that will add value to your decorative Project – The aesthetic and optical effect of parallel wood slats – The use of decorative wood panels in Nordic or Scandinavian decoration – How to carry out wood acoustic panel maintenance
