The enthusiasm of Christmas and the coming new year

By News No Comments
They say that enthusiasm is the key to success. That is why, at Spigogroup, we pour enthusiasm into our work throughout the year. We also share our clients’ enthusiasm for their architectural and decorative projects, while contributing with our own enthusiasm for that quality and excellence which distinguishes us. We maintain our enthusiasm for our quality processes, minimizing errors, and ensuring we deliver products and services which are up to the demands and expectations of those who place their trust in us. Our quality also certifies the sustainability of the forests where the raw materials with which we work every day come from, as well as our ongoing commitment to the conservation of the environment. We put all our enthusiasm into each letter, design, budget, catalogue, phone call, shipment or communication with clients and suppliers, as well as all the information posted on our recently renewed website, each post in our blog and each comment answered on our social media, in which we participate daily. However, for a few days, we are going to replace our enthusiasm for work with an enthusiasm for colours, sweets and Christmas carols, the enthusiasm for the gifts that we give and receive, a well-deserved break after a year of hard work, the lottery, the end of year chimes and family reunions. And, in 2016, we will return again with renewed enthusiasm in our projects, ready to work together with everyone. On behalf of the Spigogroup team, we wish you . Merry Christmas and a Happy 2016 . . .

Urinary partitions: everything you always wanted to know about them and were afraid to ask.

By Construction No Comments
Talking of urinary partitions, or rather of phenolic urinary partitions, is hardly prosaic. And of course, the likelihood of having a long list of questions concerning them is somewhat comical. But the truth is that more than one —unless they are a manufacturer or installer of phenolic urinary partitions - may have wondered between whistles what material urinal partitions are made of and why its use is so widespread. You can admit it that you are one of these people. The answer is ‘phenolic panel.’ Phenolic urinary partitions are made of phenolic phenolic panel. More specifically, the phenolic urinary partitions made by Spigocompac are manufactured with 12 mm thick phenolic panel or compact phenolic board. The benefits of this material are many. To start with, phenolic panel is water resistant, essential when used in urinals, showers and changing rooms. In addition, it is also fire resistant. Another virtue is that its non-porous surface makes it easily washable and prevents bacteria build-up, helping optimum hygienic maintenance. And, finally, phenolic panel is particularly resistant to scratches, impacts, corrosion and wear produced by the massive use of such facilities. It is true that you always see the same colours —red, yellow, green, blue, grey, or white— but if you are a builder, architect or designer and need a particular finish or model, do not hesitate to contact us and we can study your individual case. . 3 consequences of not carrying out a proper acoustic conditioning in an office

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, News No Comments
The correct acoustic conditioning of offices or other workplaces is not only advisable but absolutely necessary. It can be done by installing acoustic panels made with sound-absorbent wood, acoustic ceilings and acoustic islands. Sometimes, it is just sufficient to install a couple of well-placed acoustic pictures properly designed for the needs of the room. Interestingly, we all easily understand the need for a thermally conditioned an office to achieve and maintain comfort and the ideal working temperature with the lowest possible energy expenditure. Sound insulation is also perfectly understood when an office is exposed to high levels of noise coming from outside the building. Sometimes, however, insufficient value is placed upon the actual importance of proper acoustic conditioning in offices to control reverberation in some rooms. So it is not carried out. And this has consequences. These are some of the consequences of not carrying out a proper acoustic conditioning in an office: Uncontrolled reverberation hampers the intelligibility of messages and conversations which take place in an office, logically resulting in a long series of mistakes, errors and misunderstandings. Difficulty in understanding someone who speaks to us makes us raise the volume of our conversation, because, unconsciously, we think that this way it will be easier to understand each other. In fact we only produce more noise and hamper the intelligibility of messages even more. This situation increases the levels of stress in the office and is detrimental to efficiency and quality work.   If you liked this post, you may also be interested in: . - Acoustic conditioning with acoustic panels made with wood: What types of noise are there? - Acoustic conditioning with acoustic panels made with wood: Permissible noise levels - Acoustic conditioning – Readings on acoustics (in Spanish) - The importance of acoustic conditioning in an office environment using sound-absorbent wood
