Instructions for the assembly and installation of wall covering consisting of wood slats and PET insulation

By Acoustics, Acústica, Architecture, Arquitectura, Construcción, Construction, Decoración, Decoration

We receive many inquiries about instructions for the assembly and installation of Spigoline PET System wall covering with wood slats and, in this post, we will try to clear up all the doubts. The PET System is an acoustic panel with a modern, timeless design that combines solid natural ayous wood slats arranged in parallel with an eco-friendly insulating panel with high thermal and acoustic performance, made of 80% recycled polyester fibres, 100% recyclable and with a low carbon footprint. First of all, you need to know the kind kind of sound absorption that your project requires. The EN ISO 11654 international standard has five absorption classes, A, B, C, D and E. Sound absorption class A has the highest degree of absorption. The PET System allows you to achieve type A, C and D absorption, depending on the way you choose to install it and whether you use mineral wool. Class D sound absorption Spigoline PET panels are fixed directly to the wall with screws (we recommend black) with a length of at least 35 mm in the felt area or with glue or contact adhesive.     Class C sound absorption First you need to install 45×45 mm wood battens. We recommend a spacing of 300-400 mm between them. The Spigoline PET panels are then fastened directly with screws at least 35 mm long.     Class A sound absorption To achieve greater sound absorption, you can add mineral wool in the gaps between the battens which form a substructure of 45×45 mm every 300-400 mm.       If you liked this post about assembly and installation of wall covering, you may also be interested in:   – 9 decorative wood wall panels that will add value to your decorative Project – The aesthetic and optical effect of parallel wood slats – The use of decorative wood panels in Nordic or Scandinavian decoration – How to carry out wood acoustic panel maintenance

The wood acoustic cladding in the new wine tasting and sales area at Bodegas Franco-Españolas

By Decoración, Decoration, Proyectos en Madera Spigogroup, Spigogroup wood projects

Good acoustic conditioning is paramount where training and dissemination activities are carried out and where products or services are sold. In other words, wherever an act of communication is going to take place where it is essential that the message reaches the receiver in optimum condition. And if this space must also additionally convey an aesthetic feeling of elegance, warmth and hospitality to visitors, while defending the quality and distinction of the brand and of the products offered inside, then we are looking at a wood acoustic cladding project like the one we bring to this blog today. This is the new commercial exhibition, tasting, wine tasting and sales area, “El Muelle de Carga”, in the renowned Bodegas Franco-Españolas winery in Logroño.” For this project, led by the riojan studio Arquitelia, Spigo manufactured and installed 400 m² of Spigoacustic 28-16-16 wood acoustic cladding for walls and ceilings with an oak melamine finish. We also manufacture FR doors finished in black lacquered FORMICA F2253 and flush white lacquered pivoting doors with black edge veneered imitation plywood. We also provided other made-to-measure wood elements, including a solid natural oak staircase mounted on a metal structure, a black melamine wine cellar unit, benches with wood-effect varnished walnut veneer, white lacquered and black lacquered skirting boards, as well as a counter for the entrance, display and bar area in natural varnished oak, and a panelled ceiling for the reception area in walnut melamine.                                 If you liked this post about wood acoustic cladding, you may also be interested in:   – Request a quotation for acoustic panels and wood panelling – Interior design of hotels: the importance of acoustics in hotel reception areas – The importance of meeting lead times for interior design projects – Wood slat acoustic panels for increased acoustic comfort

Cladding with acoustic and decorative wood slats for the new Montepino offices

By Acoustics, Acústica, Architecture, Arquitectura, Construcción, Construction, Decoración, Decoration

Today we will review another new example of cladding with decorative wood slats for offices, both for acoustic conditioning and aesthetic reasons. A few years ago, Montepino, one of the largest owners, promoters and operators of logistics real estate in Spain, carried out a comprehensive renovation of the facilities at its headquarters in Zaragoza. Committed to the well-being of both clients and employees, they did not hesitate to take advantage of the opportunity to install solid wood lath cladding for optimal acoustic conditioning of main work areas. The Spigoline cladding system based on decorative wood slats offered the solutions they needed:   25 m² of Spigoline GRID system wood slat cladding, models 4-30-70-55 and 4-30-35-55 with white tinted finish and standard varnish. Fully assembled panel with 4 parallel solid ayous wood slats, each slat section 30×35 mm, spaced at 55 mm, joined with beech rods 12 mm diameter, panel open area 62,12 % or greater, panel mass per sqm 5,04 kg/m² or lower”   30 m² of Spigoline SOLID system wood slat cladding, model R-8_20_70_55 with PSM R12349 finish. This sound-absorbent, wood slat ceiling, forms grilles of solid Ayous wood laths with a cross-section of 20×50 mm and 70 mm high, placed parallel to each other, with a 55 mm gap between laths, which are nailed to the black-painted top board.     For the entrance area, we also manufactured loose Ayous wood laths with a 30×35 m section, tinted and varnished according to the project requirements.                 If you liked this post about decorative wood slats for offices, you may also be interested in: . – Acoustic panels for exhibition halls, museums and galleries – How wood panels help to achieve VERDE certification – Flexible wood slat cladding: so acoustics does not limit creativity – 3 examples of interior wood cladding for health centres or hospitals
