A wood slat false ceiling is, surely, the solution in wood that best combines the sobriety and minimalism of straight parallel lines with the warmth of a material so traditional and, at the same time, so new. It does not leave anyone indifferent.
This is what happens when you travel to Santiago de Compostela and visit the new FINSA headquarters, our MDF panel supplier. Thanks to MRM Arquitectos, in 2016 and 2017, we had the opportunity to participate in this project with the manufacture of the spectacular wood slat false ceiling of more than 3,000² that runs through this work site. The project proposes a widespread and highly visible use of wood: a laminated wood structure, flooring and finishes in false ceilings, panelled, wood slats, forged posts and panels, etc. The rest of the materials were defined in white to give the interior spaces as much light as possible and achieve, in this way, a comfortable and serene atmosphere.
The chosen wood slat model was the Spigoline4-20-70-100, with a black upper crossbar, a slat section of 20×70 mm, grill width of 500 mm and a finish in obeche wood with natural varnish B-s2, d0.
In the following photographs you can check the wonderful aesthetics and visual effect of the work.
