Diariamente se proyectan y hacen realidad miles de proyectos de decoración e interiorismo que incluyen paneles y revestimientos de madera, techos de madera y otros elementos fabricados con nuestro material favorito. We will soon return to work, but now, it is Christmas time

By News No Comments
We already have everything well organized for when we return: all orders are sorted by delivery date and warehouses full of wood and materials to restart the manufacture of our acoustic panels, wood panelling and technical doors. The design and R & D departments have made the last calculations of the projects that will keep us busy during the first days of 2019. The map of our export department already shows the next countries where we will shortly arrive with our wood acoustic conditioning solutions, and the marketing department already knows the actions that will take place in the coming months. Everything is ready for the return. Soon we will return to work, but now it's time to celebrate Christmas. For a few days our vehicles will rest in the shelter of our facilities, the saws and lathes will stop working, the computers will sleep and have cybernetic dreams and the phones will only receive a few calls that will be answered upon return. We will exchange them for sleds and camels, for crèches, Christmas trees and lights. We will be with family and friends, giving and receiving gifts, singing, eating and drinking at the same table, enjoying hobbies and the rest we have earned during the year. We will return with renewed strength, perhaps with some new idea to improve our product catalogue, with better plans and new projects. Soon we will return to work but now, it's time to celebrate Christmas. The Spigogroup team wishes you happy Christmas holidays and an exciting 2019

What are technical ceilings? What are they for?

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, News No Comments
Technical ceilings are hung from the frameworks for the purpose of concealing wiring, pipes and other utilities in a building. They are also called false ceilings precisely because they do not belong to the original construction, but rather hide the true ceiling under a metal structure and a system of tiles. They are very common in public and service buildings, in offices, and in hotels and shops. Technical ceilings can be removable or accessible. Removable ceilings are those which can be removed although it can only be done by removing wood panels starting from the sides up to the point where you need to work. Accessible ceilings, however, allow you to work on a given location, removing or replacing individual panels without having to move adjoining panels. exactly on a point and can replace a panel in concrete, without moving the neighbouring panels. The most common reasons for installing technical ceilings are:   To hide wiring, sensors and communication installations, security, ventilation, air conditioning, public address systems and home automation. To improve the acoustics of a room with the use of sound-absorbent acoustic panels to help the acoustic conditioning and control reverberation. To reduce energy bills, because when you reduce the height of the ceiling, you reduce the amount of m³ that you need to heat or cool. To bring elegance and warmth to a room by using wood panels. Contribute to the fire safety of a building using flame retardant panels that retard the spread of fire.   Do you need to install a technical ceiling?  Call us on +34 941 244 777 or write to us at comercial@spigogroup.com.   If you liked this post about technical ceilings, you may also be interested in: . - Finishing options and manufacturing lead times in an accessible ceiling - Does my project need an acoustic false ceiling? Interior doors in hotels and other elements made of wood: the case of Hotel Palacio Tondón

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, News, Spigogroup wood projects No Comments
Interior doors in hotels (passage doors, room doors, fire doors or acoustic doors) can be made of different materials. The market offers many options. However, architects, interior designers and decorators are clear that, if you want to get a warm and cosy atmosphere, if you want hotel guests to feel at home, you really should choose wood. This is the case of the Hotel Palacio Tondón, in the quiet village of Briñas, La Rioja, where the architectural studio CARPE asked us to do the project woodwork. The use of interior doors in hotels must be carefully thought out, because they have to combine an aesthetic role with more technical functions. To this purpose, we manufacture FR60 fire doors and 38 dB acoustic doors with white lacquered and special jamb finishes, Basic series passage doors lacquered in Jasper grey and hinged doors in Egger laminate. We also machined room doors to fit in card locks. For the acoustic conditioning of some areas we installed a Spigoacustic false ceiling model 28-32-32 with a fireproof Bs1, d0 MDF core. With a more aesthetic goal, we manufactured a cladding consisting of heat-treated wood strips for the entrance hallway. Lastly, we manufactured dozens of details in wood such as skirting boards and wood stairs, circular plywood discs, pine handrails, pavements and flooring, decorative elements in cork, and a reception niche made of varnished solid ash wood effect. The result was excellent. We recommend you visit the Hotel Palacio Tondón and enjoy its wonderful facilities and its marvellous surroundings. To give you a taste of what it is like, we leave you some photographs of the project.     .
