The 7 main features that a wood false ceiling tile can have

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, News No Comments

When selecting a model of wood false ceiling tile for a space in a building yu need to take into account different aspects. According to the characteristics of the chosen ceiling tiles these may perform one function or another and also meet project requirements, or fail to do so. These are some of the features that a wood false ceiling tile can have. Discreet and aesthetically pleasing: if what you want is that the ceiling does not overwhelm or seem to be about to fall on your head, you should use wood panels that are discreet. At this point, wood is always a safe bet: it brings elegance, warmth and a wide variety of colours. Acoustic absorption: the use of a wood false ceiling gives you the opportunity to undertake the acoustic conditioning of the room if you use sound-absorbent tiles or acoustic panels. Moisture resistance: if the panels have a water repellent treatment they will last longer in a humid environment. Fire resistance: in addition to complying with legal requirements, using flame retardant tiles allows you to have one more ally against the spread of fire. Easy to assemble: this lowers installation costs and facilitates replacement when undertaking a reform. Easy to clean: the first day does not matter but, as time goes by, this aspect becomes more important. Eco-friendly: opting for a false ceiling tile that uses wood with FSC or PEFC certifications guarantees that it comes from sustainably managed forests and that the project is committed to respecting the environment.       If you liked this post about wood false ceiling tile, you may also be interested in: – What to look for in choosing the best wood tiles for your Project – Removable false ceilings for acoustic conditioning in offices, offices and meeting romos – New catalogue of melamine finish acoustic panels and tiles – Four wood accessible ceiling tile accessories

Some good examples of the use of wood panelling in French libraries and cultural centres in France

By Architecture, Construction, Decoration, Inspiration, News No Comments

The use of wood panelling in libraries and cultural centres in France is certainly not surprising. At the end of the day, we are talking about a material that is eminently suitable for use in construction, can be 100% ecological, and is able to offer acoustic and decorative advantages at the same time. Whether as wood slats or as wood panels, or even as acoustic panels, this type of inner linings is present, to a greater or lesser extent, in most French cultural buildings. Below are five good examples of the use of wood panelling in libraries and culture centres in France.   Culture centre of Saint Pierre de Plesguen This small culture centre was born with the renovation in 2018 of an old traditional house where the exterior stone was combined with the use of wood inside. It provides a pleasing feeling of warmth and luminosity offered by the wood of the floors and the wood fibre coverings on the ceilings. What are flush doors or integrated doors? Why are they liked so much?

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, News No Comments

Flush doors are a type of door that is highly in demand by architects and interior designers. In fact, they are increasingly present in offices, practices and even in homes where you want to take special care of the décor. But what exactly is a flush door? And why are they so popular? The special system of rush door is the solution that allows installing a fully camouflaged door. Furthermore, this system gets to integrate the door into the wall and the environment until it retreated. Once installed, thanks to totally integration, these doors show all their qualities, giving greater emphasis to constructive details of its context. They are highly appreciated because they fit perfectly with current trends for the design of open spaces and continuous walls. The most modern designs of flush doors, also known as integrated doors, invisible doors or hidden doors, allow for minimalist proposals, clean of outstanding elements, where the focus is on space, light and colour. In addition, they admit all types of finishes. You can choose MDB finishes to paint, laminated HPL formica, natural wood veneers or lacquered finishes. Finishes can also adapt to any other requirement in line with the decorative treatment of the surrounding walls, so the door goes unnoticed. They can even be panelled with Spigoacustic acoustic panels and cladding, thereby helping absorb sound to ensure the right level of acoustic comfort required by the project at hand.   Download Spigodoor Technical Doors Catalogue         If you liked this post about flush doors, you may also be interested in:   – Spigodoor Rapid Technical Doors Service – Four advantages of Spigodoor wood doors for interiors – Eight frequently asked questions about acoustic solutions for offices – Wood offices: Are they just a fad?
