The wood acoustic cladding in the new wine tasting and sales area at Bodegas Franco-Españolas

By Decoración, Decoration, Proyectos en Madera Spigogroup, Spigogroup wood projects

Good acoustic conditioning is paramount where training and dissemination activities are carried out and where products or services are sold. In other words, wherever an act of communication is going to take place where it is essential that the message reaches the receiver in optimum condition. And if this space must also additionally convey an aesthetic feeling of elegance, warmth and hospitality to visitors, while defending the quality and distinction of the brand and of the products offered inside, then we are looking at a wood acoustic cladding project like the one we bring to this blog today. This is the new commercial exhibition, tasting, wine tasting and sales area, “El Muelle de Carga”, in the renowned Bodegas Franco-Españolas winery in Logroño.” For this project, led by the riojan studio Arquitelia, Spigo manufactured and installed 400 m² of Spigoacustic 28-16-16 wood acoustic cladding for walls and ceilings with an oak melamine finish. We also manufacture FR doors finished in black lacquered FORMICA F2253 and flush white lacquered pivoting doors with black edge veneered imitation plywood. We also provided other made-to-measure wood elements, including a solid natural oak staircase mounted on a metal structure, a black melamine wine cellar unit, benches with wood-effect varnished walnut veneer, white lacquered and black lacquered skirting boards, as well as a counter for the entrance, display and bar area in natural varnished oak, and a panelled ceiling for the reception area in walnut melamine.                                 If you liked this post about wood acoustic cladding, you may also be interested in:   – Request a quotation for acoustic panels and wood panelling – Interior design of hotels: the importance of acoustics in hotel reception areas – The importance of meeting lead times for interior design projects – Wood slat acoustic panels for increased acoustic comfort

What is the fire performance of Spigogroup’s B-s1-d0 wood acoustic panels?

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, Uncategorized No Comments

As part of our process of continuous improvement of services and materials, Spigogroup has improved the fire performance of our wood acoustic panels and cladding. For years they have had B-s2-d0 certification, which guaranteed excellent fire protection properties, but now, after new improvements, they will boast B-s1-d0 certification. So what are the features of Spigogroup’s B-s1-d0 wood acoustic panels now? The standard that refers to the fire performance of wood acoustic panels and cladding is UNE-EN 13501, which lists the Euroclasses or classification of materials used in construction according to their flammability, smoke emission and particulate production. For each of these three criteria the standard specifies different scales: F to A1 for flammability, s3 to s1 for smoke emission and d2 to d0 for production of droplets and/or particles.     Thus, our B-s1-d0 wood acoustic panels and cladding have the following characteristics: B: this means that they provide a very limited contribution to the fire, i.e. when they burn they provide virtually no fuel. s1: this means that they make little smoke. d0: this indicates that, when they burn, they do not release droplets or particles that could fall on other elements. This certification makes them the ideal material for acoustic conditioning and improving the look of high occupancy spaces, such as auditoriums, conference centres, universities, etc., with high fire safety requirements.     If you liked this post about B-s1-d0 wood acoustic panels, you may also be interested in:   – 3 benefits of using wood wall cladding in a room – Advantages of MDF in the manufacture of acoustic panels – Wood cladding for railway stations and airports – Corrugated wood panels: concave or convex

In which cases do we manufacture made-to-measure wood doors?

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, Spigogroup wood projects No Comments

If you ask us in which cases we manufacture made-to-measure wood doors, the answer is simple: when our clients ask for them. Some decoration or interior design projects require wood doors with specific characteristics that are not offered by the standard models in the wide range of Spigodoor technical doors and wood doors. We can provide an answer to this problem because we are manufacturers and we have the possibility to undertake any special customised order. The cases in which we manufacture made-to-measure wood doors depend on the type of requirement of each project:   Dimensions:  the standard dimensions of Spigodoor wood doors are 2030 mm in height with a choice of widths of 425, 525, 625, 725, 825 or 925 mm. However, if a project requires other lengths, other proportions or even another shape, we can study its technical feasibility and undertake its manufacture.   Finishes: the Spigodoor door finishes catalogue is very extensive and includes ready-to-paint MDB, laminated HPL formica, natural wood maple, beech, cherry and oak veneers, and lacquer in any reference in the PANTONE, RAL and NCS charts. However, there may be other possibilities that we can study in order to provide customised manufacture if a client requires it.   Technical requirements: we are manufacturers of acoustic doors and FR fire doors, which we can also adapt to the needs of a project within the limits of regulations.   Special systems: At Spigogroup we manufacture special standardised door systems, such as flush doors, panelled doors or anti-pinch doors, which we can also make to measure.             If you liked this post about made-to-measure wood doors, you may also be interested in:   – Doors, wood panelling and phenolic cabins for La Atalaya toy library – Example of a project for the renovation and refurbishment of an entrance foyer in Logroño (La Rioja, Spain) – Bespoke doors for Gonzalo Sánchez Casa Notarías offices – 6 commitments you should demand from your supplier when buying wood doors
