3 modern design ceilings made with wood slat cladding

By Architecture, Arquitectura, Decoración, Decoration

Wood has been an essential material in architecture and interior design for centuries, but in recent years, its use in modern design ceilings has taken on a new importance. Ceilings with wood slat cladding bring elegance and warmth to any space. Its use not only beautifies the rooms, but also improves acoustics, provides a greater feeling of spaciousness and contributes to more balanced lighting thanks to its ability to reflect and diffuse light harmoniously. In this article, we will explore three modern design ceilings made with Spigoline wood slat cladding, which fully harness the aesthetic potential of wood.   Práxedes Mateo Sagasta Secondary School We installed more than 400 m² of Spigoline Grid 6-30-70-30 model solid wood slat cladding, with black grilles and finished in white-tinted obeche wood with autoclave bs1d0.       Finanzauto offices These are the offices of the earthmoving equipment and energy solutions distributor, FINANZAUTO, in Chiva, Valencia, for which we manufactured 750 m² of SPIGOLINE GRID solid wood slat ceilings, of Model 2-15-70-165. The 3000 x 1500 mm panels come with 2 slats (15 mm thick and 70 mm high), separated by a 165 mm gap. The slats are made of solid ayous wood with a PSM R12356 finish and feature black rods. In addition, a B-s1,d0 autoclave fire treatment was applied to the slats, a fireproof varnish was applied to the surface, and tailored cuts and adaptations of grilles were made as well.       Bilbao building foyer In this Bilbao building foyer designed by ARKrea servicios de arquitectura and installed by Repair Estructuras, 60 m² of Spigoline Grid 4-30-70-55 with black rods with PSM R12509 finish and standard varnish were installed.   If you liked this post about modern design ceilings , you may also be interested in:   – Installation of solid wood slat cladding using the GRID system – Wood ceilings for wineries: tradition and modernity in the great temples of wine – Why is wood one of the best materials for decorating and constructing buildings? – Definition of acoustic conditioning and soundproofing, what is the difference?

What facilities are accommodated by accessible wood ceilings for town halls?

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoración, Decoration

Accessible wood ceilings for town halls are those ceilings that allow the independent, quick and agile installation and disassembly of each panel as many times as desired. This quality is especially useful for integrating and maintaining accessories such as ventilation grilles, fire or security sensors, luminaires, speakers, or to allow access to the plenum. Let’s take a closer look at which facilities can accommodate wooden log roofs for town halls.   Lightning The accessible wood ceilings allow the integration of recessed lights, LED panels and indirect lighting systems, and keep the corresponding tangle of wiring hidden in the plenum.   Air conditioning The ceiling of any municipal room houses air ducts, diffusers and ventilation grilles. The accessible ceilings allow easy access for maintenance and allow all tubes and conduits to be hidden, also in the plenum. This integration capacity helps maintain thermal comfort without compromising the aesthetics of the space.   Acoustics and sound systems The accessible wood ceilings can accommodate speakers, microphones and other components, ensuring uniform sound distribution and facilitating access for adjustments and repairs. Furthermore, if we use wood acoustic panels on the accessible ceiling, this will serve to acoustically condition the room.   Electricity and data Accessible ceilings are perfect for housing, in an orderly, accessible and, above all, concealed manner, both electrical and data wiring and access points to Wi-Fi networks.   Sensors, security and surveillance Surveillance cameras, smoke detectors and alarms can also be easily integrated into accessible wood ceilings. Additionally, many public buildings are adopting sensor and automation systems that control lighting, HVAC and other systems, optimizing energy use and improving building functionality             If you liked this post about accessible wood ceilings for town halls, you may also be interested in:   – 21 Articles on acoustic conditioning and insulation with wood – Ecological panels with SPIGOLINE PET slats: Solid slats or MDF slats? – Restaurant décor: the 3 mistakes you can’t make in 2024 – The importance of acoustics in coliving or cohousing

What are wood removable ceilings?

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration No Comments

Wood removable ceilings are made of wood panels laid out on a fully standardised grid system, for quick and easy installation from the sides of a room.   Good acoustics One of the main advantages they offer is their ability to guarantee good acoustics in a room. The panels in wood removable ceilings basically consist of a main base plate or support on which a thin layer of finish is applied and one can choose among dozens of options. Depending on the acoustic conditioning, work carried out in a room and the degree of sound absorption required for panels, these will have different types of perforations, combined with a heat bonded, sound-absorbent veil to allow you to achieve a Optimum Reverberation Time for the room.   Hide facilities In addition, removable ceilings offer a space between the false ceiling and the main ceiling. This space “left” by removable ceilings serves to house hidden wires and pipes needed for devices in the building’s various installations: electricity, heating, gas, air, sound or safety.   Energy efficiency Removable ceilings which create a false ceiling reduce the amount of cubic metres of air that needs to be heated in a room, which means a reduction in the amount energy required to maintain a suitable temperature.   Difference between removable ceilings and accessible ceilings In practice the only drawback of removable false ceilings compared to accessible ceilings is that the latter allow quick, direct access to any part of the wood ceiling, while removable ceilings require removing part of the false ceiling to reach the exact place where we wish to work.           If you liked this post about wood removable ceilings, you may also be interested in:   – Request a quotation for acoustic panels and wood panelling – 3 modern wood ceilings you’ll want for your next project – Acoustic panels for press rooms: press room at the Ministry of Justice in Madrid – Acoustic conditioning of classrooms: calculation of reverberation time and recommendations

Why are there accessible ceilings in companies?

By Acoustics, Architecture, Construction, Decoration, News No Comments

You may not realise it on many occasions, but most of the time when you visit company offices, what you have above your head is an accessible ceiling. Why are there accessible ceilings in companies? One of the main reasons is financial savings. Accessible ceilings in companies help to reduce the height of a room which reduces the volume of air you need to air-condition, thereby reducing the energy costs of the company. They also facilitate maintenance, both of the ceiling and of the installations under it (electrical infrastructure, sound, fibre optics, ducts and air systems, etc.) by offering maximum and precise accessibility for the repair and proper maintenance of installations. Allowing for easy replacement of damaged or deteriorated devices, panels and sensors is economically beneficial for companies, as it avoids costly replacements of the entire ceiling and therefore reduces the expenditure of time and money. Another, increasingly important reason is acoustics. In companies where acoustic conditioning in work spaces is valued, accessible ceilings are ideal for the installation of acoustic ceilings with sound-absorbent wood panels, improving the comfort and productivity of employees. One should also not forget aesthetics. Opting for accessible wood ceilings means bringing a little piece of nature into our workplace, providing warmth and a touch of distinction and elegance. In addition, they can be customised according to the specific design and functionality requirements of each company, contributing to a unique aesthetic appeal and ambience.           If you liked this post about accessible ceilings in companies, you may also be interested in:   – Request a quotation for acoustic panels and wood panelling – 3 modern wood ceilings you’ll want for your next project – Acoustic panels for press rooms: press room at the Ministry of Justice in Madrid – Acoustic conditioning of classrooms: calculation of reverberation time and recommendations
